Thousands of teachers move to the UAE every year for its safety, tax-free income, and warm lifestyle. Whether you choose Abu Dhabi or Al Ain, you'll enjoy a community that feels welcoming from day one.
Abu Dhabi combines modern city living with world-class amenities, cultural attractions, and a vibrant international community. With beautiful coastal areas, top-tier services, and endless activities, it's perfect for teachers seeking a dynamic, connected lifestyle in the UAE's capital.
Al Ain offers a calm, green, and family-friendly lifestyle with a strong sense of community. Known for its spacious neighborhoods, lower living costs, and relaxed pace, it's ideal for teachers who prefer a peaceful, welcoming environment.
In line with Liwa International's American Curriculum, we encourage you to register your children at one of our schools or another branch that best meets your family's needs and is conveniently located near your home or accommodation. You are eligible for a 50% tuition discount for two children.
All teachers participate in a comprehensive two-week induction prior to the students' return from summer break. This includes CPD sessions on the US Common Core Curriculum, teaching strategies, and assessment practices. Your principal will also provide academic guidance and resources ahead of the school year.
Teachers are not required to wear religious or traditional attire. However, all staff are expected to dress modestly and professionally. Further guidance will be provided during onboarding and school induction.
Liwa Education will arrange and book a one-way economy flight for overseas hires after receiving ADEK approval. Travel is typically scheduled for the first week of August.
Accommodation details will be shared prior to your arrival. Upon landing, you will be taken directly to your assigned accommodation, where a welcome pack will be provided. You will stay in a guest house or hotel for two weeks at the company's expense. This time is allocated for completing residency processes and securing long-term housing.
It's common for spouses to find employment after arriving in the UAE, as many employers prefer candidates already in-country. We recommend researching the job market and contacting local recruiters in advance.
Medical insurance is activated after your UAE visa and work permit are finalized. It's recommended to obtain temporary travel/medical insurance (valid for at least one month) for yourself and your dependents, if applicable.
Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM – 3:45 PM

(Slight variations may apply based on school activities, PD, or ECAs. Extended hours may be requested in advance by leadership.)
Yes. Attestation is required for sponsoring dependents. Documents in non-English languages must be legally translated into English before attestation.

Typically within 3 weeks, provided all documents are submitted on time. Delays may occur due to external approvals beyond the company's control.
Salaries are paid on the 28th of each month. For new joiners, if your residency and bank account are not yet finalized, your first salary will be issued by cheque and collected from Finance. From the second month onward, salaries will be transferred via WPS to your UAE bank account.
After your Emirates ID is issued, HR will provide a salary certificate to open a bank account.
